The MTZ098EA Tri-axis Five-light pod is an advanced optoelectronic system designed for UAV-based reconnaissance and surveillance. It integrates a 1280×1024 uncooled infrared thermal imager, dual 48MP visible light cameras with 38x optical zoom and 300x hybrid zoom, laser rangefinder, near-infrared supplementary lighting, and a three-axis stabilization platform. Featuring automatic target recognition and tracking capabilities, this lightweight pod delivers real-time infrared and visible light video for day and night operations. With laser ranging up to 5km, 100-meter night illumination, and seamless integration with mainstream flight control platforms, it excels in reconnaissance, border patrol, search and rescue, and forest fire prevention missions.
I. Product Introduction
The MTZ098EA three-axis, five-sensor optronic pod integrates a high-resolution 1280×1024 uncooled infrared thermal imager, a 48MP wide-angle visible-light camera, a 48MP 38x optical zoom visible-light camera, a laser rangefinder, a near-infrared supplementary illuminator, a three-axis servo-stabilized platform, and image processing modules (capable of autonomous target recognition and tracking). Featuring a lightweight design, high stability and accuracy, high integration, automatic target recognition, and automatic tracking, the pod is well-suited for deployment on small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to perform day-and-night reconnaissance and surveillance missions over target areas.
The pod has been adapted to several mainstream flight control platforms in China, enabling seamless integration with UAV flight control systems. It can also be connected to ViewControlStudio, our organization’s display and control software platform, helping the overall system integrator accelerate the development of UAV systems.
Using its uncooled infrared thermal imager and visible-light cameras, the electro-optical pod can detect, identify, and track ground targets around the clock, and it outputs real-time infrared and visible-light video for mission personnel to view.
Optronic pods of this type are primarily used in reconnaissance, border patrol, search and rescue operations, and forest fire prevention.

l) Supports tracking point switching.
m) Bidirectional communication with the control station via serial port / 100 Mbps Ethernet (UDP), outputting system status, camera operating status, and optical axis position.
n) Equipped with a 100 Mbps Ethernet video interface (RTSP protocol).
o) Provides photo and video recording functions.
