The MTZ083FA Tri-Axis Four-Light Pod is a lightweight, highly integrated optoelectronic surveillance system designed for small and medium-sized UAVs. It combines an uncooled infrared thermal imager, fixed-focus visible light camera, 50x zoom visible light camera, laser rangefinder, and three-axis servo stabilization platform with autonomous recognition and tracking capabilities. The pod delivers real-time infrared and visible light video for day and night reconnaissance and surveillance missions. It features automatic target detection, identification, and tracking with memory tracking functionality to recapture briefly lost targets. The system integrates seamlessly with mainstream Chinese flight control platforms and ViewControlStudio software for rapid UAV system development. With 0.1mrad stabilization accuracy, 50x optical zoom, and laser ranging up to 3km, it excels in reconnaissance, border patrol, search and rescue, and forest fire prevention applications. Operating at 24VDC with 40W stable power consumption and weighing under 1.9kg, it offers exceptional performance in a compact, rugged design suitable for various mounting platforms.
The TZ083FA three-axis four-sensor optoelectronic pod integrates an uncooled infrared thermal imager, a fixed-focus visible light camera, a 50x continuous zoom visible light camera, a laser rangefinder, a three-axis servo stabilization platform, and an image processing module (capable of autonomous recognition and tracking). Designed to be lightweight, highly stable, precise, and highly integrated, the pod supports automatic target recognition and tracking. It is ideally suited for small to medium-sized UAVs performing round-the-clock reconnaissance and surveillance missions over target areas.
The pod has been adapted to several mainstream flight control platforms in China, enabling seamless integration with flight control systems. It can also be connected to our organization’s ViewControlStudio display and control software platform, helping the overall unit rapidly complete UAV system development.
Using the uncooled infrared thermal imager and visible light camera, the pod detects, identifies, and tracks ground targets day and night, outputting real-time infrared and visible light video for mission personnel to view.
Optoelectronic pods of this type are primarily used in reconnaissance, border patrol, personnel search and rescue, and forest fire prevention scenarios.
