The MS155FA Two-Axis Four-Light Pod is an advanced electro-optical system designed for UAV-based reconnaissance and surveillance. This compact pod integrates dual infrared thermal imagers with long and short focal lengths, a 30x continuous zoom visible light camera, laser rangefinder, and servo-stabilized two-axis platform. Featuring autonomous target recognition and tracking capabilities, it delivers real-time infrared and visible light video feeds for day and night operations. The system offers 30x optical zoom for visible light, 5x zoom for infrared, laser ranging up to 3km, and precise stabilization within 0.1mrad. Compatible with mainstream Chinese flight control platforms and ViewControlStudio software, it seamlessly integrates into UAV systems. Ideal for reconnaissance, border patrol, search and rescue, and forest fire prevention, the MS155FA weighs just 2.5kg and operates on 24VDC power with exceptional environmental adaptability.
I. Product Introduction
The MS155FA electro-optical pod integrates a long-focal and short-focal infrared thermal imager (uncooled), a 30x continuous zoom visible light camera, a laser rangefinder, a two-axis servo-stabilized platform, and an image processing module featuring autonomous recognition and tracking. Designed for high precision and low latency, this pod is suitable for small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to perform round-the-clock reconnaissance and surveillance over target areas.
Equipped with both uncooled infrared thermal imaging and visible light camera, the pod enables day-and-night detection, identification, and tracking of ground targets, while simultaneously outputting real-time infrared and visible light video streams for mission operators.
The MS155FA has been adapted to several mainstream flight control platforms in China, ensuring seamless integration with UAV flight control systems. It can also be connected to our organization’s ViewControlStudio display and control software platform, helping the overall system integrator rapidly complete UAV system development.
Typical applications of this electro-optical pod include reconnaissance, targeting and guidance, border patrol, personnel search and rescue, and forest fire prevention.

p) Supports tracking point switching.
q) Can calculate target coordinates using attitude data from the laser rangefinder and the UAV.
r) Enables bidirectional communication with the control station via RS422/100 Mbps Ethernet, and outputs information including infrared/visible images, system status, camera working status, and optical axis position.
s) Equipped with HD-SDI and 100 Mbps Ethernet multi-channel video output interfaces.
t) Provides photo and video recording functions.
